This site is run by Tech Efficient LLC, a one-person software consultancy based in Tempe, Arizona. It is a marketing site: it exists so people can find out what we do and get in touch. There are no accounts to create, nothing to buy, and no paywall.
The short version
We collect two things: anonymous analytics about how people move through the site, and whatever you type into the contact form. We do not sell any of it, we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below who help run the site, and we do not send marketing email — if you contact us, you get a reply from a person, not a mailing list.
What the contact form collects
When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, an optional company name, and the message you wrote. We also record the IP address and browser user-agent the submission came from, and which page you were on when you opened the form.
The IP address and user-agent are kept for one reason: this form is a public endpoint and attracts automated spam. Having them lets us tell a real enquiry from a bot.
A submission is emailed to us and stored in our own internal portal, which sits behind a password and two-factor login and is not reachable from the public internet. We keep enquiries so we can pick a conversation back up later. If you would rather we did not, email support@techefficientllc.com and we will delete yours.
Analytics and session recording
We use three Google and Microsoft services on this site. All of them set cookies or store identifiers in your browser.
Google Analytics 4
Measures traffic: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from (country and city level, and which site or search referred them), what device and browser they used, and whether a visit ended in a contact-form submission. We look at this in aggregate to work out which pages are worth writing more of. It is not used to identify individuals.
Microsoft Clarity
This one deserves a plain description rather than a euphemism: Clarity records sessions. It captures mouse movement, scrolling and clicks, and can replay a visit as a video, plus aggregate heatmaps of where people click.
Clarity's input masking is left on, which means text you type into form fields — including the contact form — is obscured in those recordings rather than captured. We use it to find out where a page confuses people, not to watch individuals.
Google Ads
We advertise this business on Google Search. When someone arrives from one of those ads and later submits the contact form, Google reports that back to us as a conversion so we can tell whether the advertising is worth the money. Google receives that a conversion happened; it does not receive the contents of your message.
How to turn analytics off
Nothing on this site requires analytics to work. If you would rather not be measured:
- Any mainstream content or tracker blocker will stop all three of the above.
- Google offers a browser opt-out add-on for Analytics.
- Microsoft's opt-out and Clarity's privacy terms are documented in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Blocking them costs you nothing here. Every page works the same either way.
Who else touches the data
We are a one-person business and use ordinary service providers to run the site. Data reaches them only as a consequence of the site working:
- Google — Analytics, Ads and Search Console.
- Microsoft — Clarity, and the mailbox that receives contact-form submissions.
- Our hosting provider — the server keeps standard web logs containing IP addresses and requested URLs, as every web server does.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Asking us to delete something
Email support@techefficientllc.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold and remove it. There is no form and no process to navigate — the request reaches the person who runs the business.
One honest limitation: we can delete what is in our own systems. Data already sent to Google or Microsoft is governed by their retention policies and their own privacy tools, which we do not control.
Children
This is a business-to-business consulting site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We do not keep a public changelog of edits; if the specifics matter to you, ask and we will tell you what changed.
